Benihana YUM

Had dinner with the Ruby's at Benihana last night and apparently Danielle is a big fan - she was really impressed by the "rice-heart". We sat next to a couple that got rejected from the Jerry Springer show - a 90yr old balls guy and his Japanese dishrag - they provided interesting entertainment the whole night. Danielle and Tracey were in the bathroom with her after dinner and she was farting all over the place - classic! Anyway - all our clothes reek now but had a good time...

After The Zell's baby naming, the party moved to Julian Lane Park. Sand, worms, slides, swings, etc...just like the good old days at the park!

Office Shower

My office had a baby shower for me. Jessica scrambled throughout the day to make sure everything was set up. It was really cute and so nice of everyone to participate. Thanks for all the hard work Jess! XO

To the Max!

We had dinner with the Simpson's last night in Joisey. Only took us 90 minutes to get a table at Cheesecake! Max was chillin, pooped once, had some beer and ate asparagus. Shyman had an appetizer of Crazy cause she returned the turkey burger she ordered for dinner because she thought it wasn't a turkey burger?!?!? Anyway, good times with the Simpsons...

A Little Scoll News

Tonight we went to dinner with The Scoll's, The Barrie's The Rubinstein's and The Feldman's. It was great catching up with everyone! Adam made a toast to everyone and then said "and here's to my pregnant wife!" We are so excited for them and can't wait to meet little Deitos in October!

Had dinner with the Rubinstein's Saturday night at their apt on 23rd Street.
Cool view - the city, not Craig's happy trail...

Buckeyes win the NIT

Buckeyes played in the NIT Finals against UMass at MSG last night - and Won! Its not like beating Michigan, but always good to see The Ohio State University get a W! And it was awesome to see it at the Garden (at least one team I like can win at the Garden)!

Baby G got into the spirit too - he was kicking O-H-I-O when TBDBITL played Hang On Sloopy

Baby Camryn

This past Sunday was my cousin Camryn's Christening. She was an angel during the church. She slept through almost the whole service. When it was her turn to be Baptized she was woken by the water, but remained calm. Camryn's big sister Cayden patted her down for support. Cayden then tried to address the Church but was kicked off the pedestal.
It was a beautiful and special day!

No Photoshop required

Ross & Steven 20 years ago...not much has changed since then!
Clearly there are some issues here - what happened to these 2 growing up?

Knicks blow!

Its painful to go to a knicks game these days. some of the teams playing in the NCAA tourney can beat the knicks. hopefully this pitiful play will get us a good draft pick (that we can give to chicago for our all-star Curry). The crazy half-time show girl was pretty cool though - she rode on some uni-cycle and flipped bowls on her head...more entertaining than the frigen game!

Birthright | Israel

Steven is in Israel right now with an organization called Israel Free - its some rich dude that sends anyone under 25 to Israel - like a birthright.

So he's there now - taking it to the extreme somewhat - but the peyes work for him - kinda.

The small pic is of Steven  in Israel when he was 13.

The Toilet Monster

Having brothers that live upstairs has its advantages...

Last night we put a toilet monster in their bathroom. We tried to hang around until one of them found it but it was getting late. About 10 minutes after we left we got a call from Steven asking us if we were trying to give him a HEART ATTACK!

Ivan decided to triple lock our door... we are sure payback is coming!

Tracey's sister, Ally chopped 18 inches last week! I haven't had that much hair since 1984!!

I hope someone at Locks of Love is looking for an 18 inch blond braid...

Brunch at Donna and Noam's

Today we took a drive out to NJ with Jaime, Rachel & Jay to go see the Kritzer Fam.  Adam took a bad fall that morning, but pulled himself together to greet us when we arrived.  We had some bagels, crem brulee french toast (YUM!!!) and some other goodies while Adam enjoyed his avocado on bread with some cheerios and yogurt.   We had a great visit and promised we would try and do it again soon.

Steven's Lunar Wipeout

Steven was unable to contain his excitement over the lunar eclipse and in the mayhem took a bad spill. Thankfully he and his sunflower seeds are O.K. and managed to make it through the rest of the eclipse, incident free!

Golf in February

Today was another 60 degree day in NYC.  We took advantage and strolled over to Chelsea Piers and of course Chelsea Market.  Ivan is cooking up some spicy meatballs for dinner!  YUM.

Working on our stroke at chelsea piers ... and since we were right there...

Valentines Day - 2008

We had a nice, in-house Valentines Day this year. Ivan, my amazing, handsome and thoughtful husband arranged a candle light lobster feast for us. I walked in from the gym to a darkened apartment with the meal ready to go - it was de-lish! We slammed the crustaceans, some homemade potato soup Ivan made and boozed hard with lemonade. Afterwards Ivan gave me some long-stems and hydrangea's (that croaked in like 20 minutes) and had a wild night of TV watching (Lost, which sucks and Idol). Anyway, we had a nice night, and Ivan is just the bestest!

Babymoon

This past week we took a couple days off and went to FL. It was very relaxing. We had time to visit Nan and spend a few days playing golf and hanging by the pool. We left 80 degree weather and came back to 12. What a SHOCK! It was a great trip and now we are starting to plan for the big journey ahead of us.

I have to share some good ol' Nan pictures. When we were in FL Ivan pointed the camera at Nan and she instantly did her original pose. Of course this wasn't her first time and I knew I've seen that pose before, so I went back to some old pictures and sure enough found another one. I think these pictures are 3 years apart...good ol' Nan - you gotta love her!!!

Baby News

So I am now 6 months pregnant. I am growing and feel big... I've been told that I am only going to get much MUCH bigger, SCARY! I first felt the little guy kick on January 13th. It felt like a fish hitting up against the side of the fishbowl. I am just starting to get use to it. Ivan felt him kick for the first time January 31st. He gets so excited and talks to my belly... it's really cute! Well here are some pictures of me at 4, 5 and 6 months... 3 1/2 more to go!

Pepper - The WONDERful Dog

Last weekend the Roocke Family dog of 11 years passed away. Pepper was a great and loyal dog. She was in love with my father and the rest of our family. Anyone who knew Pepper had a bond with her. She had her special ways of saying hello and guarding her personal things. Pepper will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Oh BOY!!

We have recently found out that Baby G will be a boy. No one was really surprised given the Gabel family history. We are both very excited and can't wait to meet him. Of course I have been looking at every baby boy necessity possible. From bedding to clothes to the little shoes he will wear. We will be going to Buy Buy Baby this weekend with my sisters and mother to start a registry (Ivan is going to join us for as long as he can take it!) I am SO excited!

Ally's 15th Birthday

Ally turned 15! She came into the city with Jenn and her friend Teresa and we all went to LIPS. LIPS is a Drag Queen restaurant. We had such a blast. All the Queens went aound and talked
to each table. When they got to our table and found out what we were celebrating they had Ally stand up and asked her some questions. After she told them she was 15 the Queen responded with "Suddenly I feel like MICHAEL JACKSON!" I think she was the youngest girl there.

We enjoyed the show and the company. It was a great night. Now we will just have to figure out how to top this for next year.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLY!
