Everett just loves putting clips in everyone's hair - it never gets old for him! Here is his latest up do with Grandma.

First Homework

Everett had his first homework assignment. He had to write his name, the floor he lives on and the letter of the apartment he lives in.  He did a good job with his name and apartment letter and he drew a very nice backwards #7. It was very cute.  Great Job Ev!

Party of 3 No More...

...baby on the way will make 4!
We are so excited to announce that we are extending our family. Baby Gabel is due in November and we couldn't be happier. We waited a little while to tell Everett and once we did he was ecstatic! Now he asks me everyday if the baby is ok and wants to kiss my belly. It is such a joy to see him so in love with his brother or sister already!

Eye Doctor

Everett had his first eye doctor appointment. He was a very good patient. Since doctors are never on time Everett made himself comfortable in the chair. Once the Dr. came in she looked in his eyes and had him read letters off the screen - it was so cute to hear him yell out L - E - O - T - D - F.  The only bad part of the visit was the eye drops. I had to hold him down kicking and screaming! But his eyes are perfect!

NY Nanny

Nan has made it to NY.  She arrived on February 29th and is here to stay! We are all so excited to spend time with her! Thank goodness the summer is right around the corner, she's freezing!!!! Here are some pictures of her new place!  Welcome Home Nanny!

First Visit to the Dentist

Today was Everett's first visit to the dentist. We prepped all week by reading books and practicing saying AHHHHH.  When Everett got into the chair the doctor gave him sunglasses so the light wouldn't irritate his eyes. She also gave him a mirror so he could see what was going on. He did such an amazing job, we were so proud of him.

Everett's favorite movie is cars. He gets up and dances to the beggining everytime he watches it!

Everett's Toes

Ev's Toes Now - You can really see it!

I was born with something called Polydactyly  (refers to extra digits - in the hand, extra fingers or thumbs) which is now just a bump on my pinky fingers. When I was pregnant we always said we just wanted Everett to be healthy and have 11 fingers and 10 toes! Well, it wasn't until Everett was about a month old that Ivan noticed he has 2 weird toes. When we took him for his next doctors visit he told us that it was webbed toes. When I looked it up online I discovered that is was referred to as Syndactyly (adjacent fingers or toes are joined by soft tissue).  After discussing this with my sister Jennifer she said she always noticed something weird with her toes too - turns out she has it also! It is cute that he carried on one of my traits.  

British Everett

Everett and I like to use a British accent sometimes, he is actually pretty good at it. Very impressive for a 3 year old!

Carsyn Albert Volpe

My little cousin Carsyn was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma last year. He has gone through chemo and most recently a stem cell transplant.  He is the strongest 2 year old I know. He will be 3 next week and he has everyone we know praying and thinking about him.  He will pull though this. We are all here to support him and his family.  We love you little man!

Baby Matri!

My cousin Jessica had her baby boy! Trey Parker was born on March 6, 2012 at 1:08pm and weighed 7lbs 8oz.  He is just precious and I can't wait to meet him and squish him. Congratulations Jess & Steve!

Florida 2012

We were lucky to make it to Florida this year and it was the most perfect weather yet! High 70's everyday! We visited with friends that were in Florida on vacation as well, swam in the pool and rods bikes everyday, went to cool parks, went to the beach and had the best vacation ever! Ivan and I even got to spend a night in Miami!  Thank you Nancy & Jeff for a great trip!!!

Everett's Buddies

Happy Birthday Mom

Happy Birthday Mom! Today would have been your 60th Birthday and I know you are dancing your buns off wherever you are! There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. You have made such an impact on your children and you will carry on in us and in everything we do. You would be so proud of all of us. Happy Birthday to the most wonderful, caring and generous woman to have ever walked this earth. I love you so so SO much!

Texting With Aunt Alex

I was texting one night with Ally and Ev said I want to see her. So Ally sent us a funny picture. Everett said - can we send one back. So he wanted to be just like Aunt Alex and sent the same funny face back. 
It was very very cute!
